Crown of Texas Hospice Foundation supports the unique services of hospice programs and accepts memorials and donations on behalf of BSA Hospice of the Southwest.  Crown of Texas Hospice Foundation (formed in June 1991) is a 501(c)3 designated organization committed to assisting with end-of-life care and bereavement needs in our community.

Activities of the Foundation may include:

 

Financial assistance for patients and their families not generally covered under the hospice program – examples include but are not limited to: quality of living items such as clothes, rent, telephone, food, dental care, medications, durable medical equipment, transportation, and caregiver support; bereavement support for families as well as the community; volunteer activities and educational activities.

 

Your gift to Crown of Texas Hospice Foundation for BSA Hospice of the Southwest is tax-deductible and will be acknowledged by a letter* sent to the family of the person(s) being honored/remembered. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes.

Under the leadership of Sister Olivia Prendergast, a group of compassionate leaders met to develop an organization dedicated to raising money to pay for the "extras" of BSA Hospice of the Southwest patients.  This organization became "Olivia's Angels" in 1990.

​

Olivia’s Angels is associated with the Harrington Cancer and Health Foundation and helps to fulfill the needs, dreams and wishes of many hospice patients.  Sometimes these are relatively small such as denture repairs, eyeglasses, or a haircut at home.  Sometimes they are much larger such as purchasing an airline ticket so that a loved one can spend time with a patient.

Olivia’s Angels enriches the lives of hospice patients primarily from donations and the annual Hospice Holiday Tree.
