Recognizing Hospice and Palliative Care Month

This year’s theme for National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is “It’s about how you live!” We’re working with NHPCO to organize presentations throughout Amarillo to offer tips and tricks on how to reevaluate priorities and decide what is meaningful to our families during the holiday season.
At BSA Hospice of the Southwest, we choose to focus on providing high-quality care that enables patients and family members to live as fully as possible despite their situation. Our palliative care offers an early approach to this model and our highly-trained professionals are there every step of your journey.
Our services provide pain management, symptom control, psychosocial support and spiritual care to patients and family members. With nearly 1.5 million people living with a life-limiting illness, we give you the comfort of knowing you’re not alone in your situation and support the idea that during this time, we must focus on living and enjoying the moments we have with one another.
Financial issues are also a significant issue with end life planning. Our social workers are knowledgeable at helping you navigate these systems by negotiating healthcare, social service and other complex systems that can be overwhelming.
At BSA Hospice of the Southwest, it is our goal to make a positive difference in the lives of our patients, their families and our community by providing quality hospice care with compassion and experience.
